	Goverment Scholarship How to Apply Goverment Scholarship

        Please submit your application at least two months before the start of the new semester, so that OEC has enough time to process the papers, help you apply for a student visa and issue the admission notice.

        The specific procedure is as follows:

        Step 1: Download Application Form (Application For Admission Of Overseas Students To Study At Xiamen University) and Physical Examination Form (Physical Examination Record For Foreigners) from the OEC website. Physical Examination Form is excused if the study period is no longer than 6 months! In case you already have a residence permit of a Chinese city other than Xiamen, you are also exempt from taking another physical examination. You merely need to apply for a transfer of residence before you come to Xiamen. If required, physical examination can also be easily conducted by the local Hygiene & Quarantine Bureau!

        Step 2： Fill in these forms. If needed, you may have physical examination in your home country according to the items listed in Physical Examination Form. The results should be notarized, at best using your physician's red ink seal.

        Step 3： Email your filled in Application Form to [email protected]. Please include your passport's photocopy.

        Step 4： If you have been admitted, your admission notice and Visa Clearance Form (JW202) will be sent to you by post within one month's time.

        Step 5: Take the Admission Notice and your Visa Clearance Form (JW202) to the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate General to apply for a Student-X-Visa (for studying more than six months) or a Student-F-Visa (for studying less than six months). Your JW202 must be taken to China for registration at Xiamen University. The Embassy's personnel is not to keep it.

        Step 6： After arrival, take your passport, admission notice and Visa Clearance Form (JW202) to register at Overseas Education College (OEC) within registration period specified in your admission notice.
