On the morning of March 28, 2004, the vice-director of the Office of the President of the Kirghizia Republic, Dr. Alikbek Djekshenkulov, and Mrs. Djekshenkulov, along with the ambassador of the Kirghizia Republic to China, Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev, etc. paid a visit to our university. The vice-president of Xiamen University, Prof. Pan Shimo, met the visiting guests at the meeting room of the office building. The Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Mao Tongwen, the Dean of the OEC, Zhan Xinli, and the vice-dean of the Law School, Chen Xiaoming put in an appearance.
Prof. Pan extended his warm welcome to the delegation, briefed the educational features of Xiamen University, and expressed his sincere wish that more students from Kirghizia come to Xiamen University to study. Dr. Alikbek Djekshenkulov inquired about the conditions of Kirghizian students in Xiamen University, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to Xiamen University for providing excellent study conditions and constant care. Meanwhile, the visitors spoke highly of the beautiful campus.
There is one student from Kirghizia in Xiamen University now, who has been accepted by the Law School with high proficiency of Chinese Language (HSK level-6) after one-year study of Chinese, and is now majoring in law as a junior |
